Jebena latte

Our story

More than
coffee.

Guzo means journey in Amharic. We started this cart to bring the warmth of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony to the streets of Los Angeles — the slowing down, the gathering, the connection that happens when people share something good together.

The Beginning

Some of my earliest memories take me back to Ethiopia, making coffee for my grandmother. I remember sitting beside her, taking my time with each cup, while neighbors would come by, filling the space with conversation, laughter, and connection.

Those moments stayed with me. Coffee was never just a drink — it was a way of bringing people together and creating something meaningful.

"As I grew older, I realized I wanted to carry that feeling with me and share it with others."

Guzo, which means "journey," reflects that path — from those early memories to building something of my own. Through Guzo Coffee, I want to create a space where people can slow down, feel welcomed, and truly connect.

Our mission

Our mission is to bring people together through coffee by creating welcoming, intentional spaces rooted in Ethiopian tradition. Guzo exists to serve more than drinks — we serve connection, culture, and community wherever we go.

Coffee

Carefully selected beans, intentionally crafted drinks — every cup made with care and purpose.

Culture

Rooted in Ethiopian tradition, we carry forward generations of coffee ceremony into every event we attend.
